Bio
Time to throw convention out the window because a wild child is on the horizon. Armed with a lifetime supply of arpeggio’s and addictive analog basslines that will make you want to dance from a mile away. Feel his whispery baritone vocals and synthesized melodic chords, see his signature neon skulls hang from the ceiling at his special events. And to top it off is motivation, diligent work ethic and positive atitude that would make even the most seasoned of producers take notice. It’s safe to say that artist, D.J and producer Greg Pidcock will be impossible to miss.
Always wandering but never lost, 24-years-old, Greg’s global upbringing allowed him to call Thailand, Peru, India, Texas, Ecuador, Argentina, and currently Montreal, his home. After dedicating the last year of his life to developing his sound, he fell into a record deal like he falls into his mismatched socks every morning and was offered the opportunity to create an album for one of the world’s most popular electronic music labels, Hot Creations run by Jamie Jones & Lee Foss.
At the very beginning Greg was painting city walls with spray cans in Lima, at 15, where he scored his first official gig at a backyard rave. Before graduating high school his family moved to India and he was DJing nightclubs in the busy streets of Mumbai. However, being a creative spirit he loved art as well as music and went on to complete a BFA at Concordia University at age 20. Post graduation, Greg spent a few years working various media & marketing jobs. From doing graphic design for nightclubs, to video editing for Playboy and DJing regularly, Greg always stayed creative. During this time he was able to play and learn from top international DJs and was staple at Montreal’s infamous Cherry where he went from busboy to resident dj and creative director. It was there where he met producer Tone Depth with whom he co-founded Tone’s label Bad Pony Records. Throughout the year Greg also has the privilege of working as a sound engineer with renowned music composer Mercan Dede.
